This shredded fish is processed by PMEFS members which is made from crushed snakehead fish (Channa striata) meat and combined with native Kalimantan spices. The production process is carried out with a roasting system for 6-8 hours. The distinctive aroma of spices and savory taste characterizes the taste of this shredded fish.
Shredded Snakehead Fish can be served with rice, as a filling for bread, sticky rice, pastries or a topping for noodles and rice porridge. Shredded snakehead fish can also be used as souvenirs typical of Central Kalimantan.
